Computer Science — B.S.

Nursing — B.S.N.

Why: Growing demand for compassionate, highly trained nurses who can make a real difference in patient care. MU’s program features 1,200+ clinical hours across 8 partner healthcare facilities, starting freshman year. Our simulation lab houses 20 high-fidelity mannequins for realistic practice. NCLEX pass rate: 94% (national average: 87%).

Mechanical Engineering — B.S.

Why: MechE at MU means getting your hands dirty from day one. Our project-based curriculum starts with a first-year design challenge and culminates in an industry-sponsored senior capstone. Access the Advanced Manufacturing Lab featuring CNC machines, 3D metal printers, and a wind tunnel. Our Formula SAE racing team designs and builds a competition car each year.

Psychology — B.A.

Why: Understanding human behavior is fundamental to nearly every career path. MU’s psychology program goes beyond theory with hands-on research opportunities available starting sophomore year. Students operate our on-campus Behavioral Research Lab and can earn credit assisting faculty with published research. Ideal preparation for graduate programs in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, and law.

Neuroscience at Mongoose University

Neuroscience — B.S.

Why Neuroscience? The brain is the most complex structure in the known universe, and understanding it is one of the greatest scientific frontiers of our time. Mongoose University’s Neuroscience program sits at the intersection of biology, chemistry, psychology, and computer science, giving you a uniquely interdisciplinary foundation.

Our students don’t just learn about the brain in a classroom — they investigate it. Through our partnership with the Mongoose Regional Medical Center’s Neuroimaging Lab, undergraduates gain hands-on experience with fMRI and EEG technology rarely available outside graduate programs. Faculty research spans Alzheimer’s disease, addiction neurobiology, neural plasticity, and brain-computer interfaces. Students regularly co-author peer-reviewed publications with faculty mentors.

The program prepares graduates for medical school (82% acceptance rate for those who apply), Ph.D. programs in neuroscience and related fields, and emerging careers in neurotech, pharmaceutical research, and health data science.
