MBA — Full-time (2 years) or part-time (3 years) and online options. 48 credits with concentrations in Finance, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Entrepreneurship, and Data Analytics. $1,050/credit. Bloomberg Terminal access and student-managed $2.1M fund.

MS in Business Analytics — 30 credits with Python/R/SQL emphasis. Capstone with industry partner.

MS in Supply Chain Management — 33 credits with partnerships in regional logistics.

MS Computer Science — 30 credits with tracks in AI/ML, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering. $925/credit.

MS Data Science — 33 credits, cross-listed with business analytics.

MS Cybersecurity — 30 credits, NSA/DHS Center of Academic Excellence designation.

MS Mechanical & Robotics Engineering — 30-33 credits. All STEM programs offer OPT extension for international students.

MA Clinical Psychology & MFA Creative Writing — Psychology (60 credits, prepares for LPC licensure), Creative Writing (48 credits, low-residency option).

MSW Social Work — 60 credits, CSWE-accredited, advanced standing for BSW holders.

Doctoral Programs

PhD Engineering — 4 concentrations (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Biomedical). 72 credits beyond bachelor’s, 48 beyond master’s. Typical completion 4-5 years. All doctoral students fully funded with tuition waiver + $28,000/year stipend + health insurance.

PhD Neuroscience — Interdisciplinary program, 60 credits. Faculty labs in neuroimaging, addiction, neural plasticity, and brain-computer interfaces.

PsyD Clinical Psychology — 120 credits, APA-accredited, 5-year program with 2,000+ practicum hours and 1-year internship. Graduates eligible for psychology licensure.

EdD Educational Leadership — 54 credits, cohort model with 3-year completion for working professionals. Weekend/evening format.

DNP Nursing Practice — 36 credits post-MSN, 1,000 practice hours. Prepares nurse practitioners for the highest level of clinical practice.

Graduate Assistantships

180+ positions across teaching (TA), research (RA), and administrative assistantships. Benefits include full tuition waiver + $12,000–$18,000/year (master’s) or $24,000–$28,000/year (doctoral) + health insurance. 20 hours/week commitment. Application deadlines: February 1 (fall), October 1 (spring). Apply through the graduate application portal; departments make offers separately.

Graduate Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition rates: Master’s $925/credit (most programs), MBA $1,050/credit, Nursing/Health $975/credit, Online $715/credit. Doctoral programs fully funded for all PhD students. Federal loans (Direct Unsubsidized up to $20,500/year, Grad PLUS for remaining costs). Graduate scholarships: Dean’s Graduate Fellowship ($5,000–$15,000), Diversity in Graduate Education Award ($8,000), STEM Graduate Scholarship ($10,000). Employer tuition reimbursement coordination available. Veterans benefits accepted; Yellow Ribbon participant.

Graduate admissions process

Admissions & How to Apply

Timeline: Rolling admissions for most programs; priority deadlines: Fall (February 15), Spring (October 15), Summer (March 15). Decision timeline: 4–6 weeks after complete application.

Requirements: Completed online application ($60 fee, waived for MU alumni), bachelor’s degree from accredited institution (minimum 3.0 GPA), official transcripts, statement of purpose (500–1000 words), 2–3 letters of recommendation, current resume/CV.

Program-specific: GRE required for Engineering PhD and Psychology programs (no minimum, competitive average ~315). GMAT accepted for MBA (average 580). Nursing: active RN license for MSN/DNP. Portfolio required for MFA. Interview required for PsyD (by invitation). International students: TOEFL 90+, IELTS 7.0+.
